Wax Removal On Porcelain Tiles
Many porcelain tiles are protected during transport with a thin wax coating applied by the
manufacturer. This coating makes the tile appear dull, and must be removed after grouting and
before sealing. Removing wax coatings on porcelain tiles can be difficult but with the right
products and advice the desired result can be achieved by the Marble & Stone Restoration
team.
Although most porcelain tiles are stain resistant, we still recommend the use of a protective
sealer on polished surfaces. This will ensure that staining, especially on lighter coloured
tiles will be greatly reduced and will facilitate regular maintenance of floor & wall
tiles. Grout lines are also impregnated and protected from staining. Our Porcelain sealer is
specifically designed for the lower porosity of the material. These products prevent substances
such as oil, grease, water and general dirt from penetrating into the surface.
Thankfully at Marble & Stone Restoration we offer a 15 year product warranty on all our
natural stone and tile penetrating sealants. We strongly believe that our sealing products are
the best on the market and strongly recommend the use of these products so we can safely
protect you investment. For more information on porcelain tiles use the link provided.
